Weingut Leitz

The history of the Leitz family as winemakers dates back to 1744. Johannes Leitz was born in Rüdesheim in 1964. Johannes' father had briefly taken over the winery before his premature death in 1966. Among other things, he left the family vineyard to his wife. It was not until 1985, when Johannes took over the winery with 2.5 hectares of vines, that it was prioritized again. Johannes gained national and international recognition for his outstanding wines, most of which are exported. All of Johannes' wines show the diverse greatness of the Rüdesheim terroir, their home.
