Weingut Josef Jamek

The Josef Jamek winery is located in the picturesque Wachau region. Now in its fourth generation, the Jamek family mainly cultivates Grüner Veltliner and Riesling on steeply terraced hillsides dominated by gneiss soils. These soils, in combination with the particular climatic conditions of the Wachau, characterize the very specific style of the Jamek wines. For the most part, the slopes of Ried Achleiten, Ried Klaus or Ried Liebenberg are too steep to be worked by machines, so the vineyards are traditionally tended to by hand.
