Welcome to the Markus IRO winery

We have around 22 hectares of vineyards, making us a family-runwinery. That is exactly what makes us lucky, because it provides me with ample time, as a winemaker, to become inspired and to give our wines the time they really need to mature.

My fine intuition for the individual grape varieties and styles has led to numerous awards since my first wine collection. This includes: falstaff & vinaria winner 4-time winner of the salon 10-time national winner winemaker of the year 2014, 2022 & 2023
