Description
The area east of the church has been known as "Kirchanger" since 1271, and a large part of the vineyard was owned by the Mainz cathedral chapter until 1803. The soil structure of the Kirchenstück site consists of deep loam. This soil always gives the wines a lot of elegance and playfulness and great ageing potential. Feminine and delicate pome fruit flavours. The acidity is very fine and elegant. The wines mature earlier, but can still be stored for a very long time.
