A classic Burgundy, ruby red in the glass, which grows on volcanic weathered rock in the VDP.Grosse Lage PAGODE - our monopoly site at the southern tip of the Kaiserstuhl. Powerful nose with intense cherry flavours and blackcurrant, complemented by earthy notes, black pepper and cocoa. Long finish. A wine with a great future - ageing potential of over 15 years.
