Description
Kamptal DAC Reserve reflects what the Kamptal region offers at its best in dry white wine. A minimum of 13% alcohol is required for the DAC Reserve category and the wines may not be released before April of the year following the harvest. The wine is sourced from 100% estate owned vineyards. We hand harvested the grapes at the Kogelberg at the end of October. The grapes were carefully destemmed followed by cold maceration on the skins for 6-8 hours. After pressing the must was fined and slowly fermented in steel tanks. This Riesling rested on the fine lees until it was bottled in summer 2022
