Description
Herculis is an elegant Bordeaux blend that owes its name to the ancient name of Asinara (Herculis Island). Intense dark ruby red color, its intense bouquet recalls immediately the Bordeaux wines. At the nose, ripe blueberries and other notes of red fruits complement the spicy and herbal notes of tobacco, pepper and wild thyme. On the palate, the wine is juicy and mouth-filling. The fruity notes come through well and it has pleasant, soft tannins. Its fresh acidity provides a lively mouthfeel and, on the finish, the herbal-spicy notes come out again, confirming the scents perceived by the nose.

Food Pairing
Due to its strong, dry nature, Herculis is a great accompanying wine. It goes well with lamb dishes, such as loin with herb crust, or with grilled red meat, such as wild boar steaks or a nice T-bone steak, also dry aged. It is superb when served with slightly strong, aged cheeses.
